Here in Mexico, I got a flat tire and the police stopped. The officer was asking me a question but I could not understand him. He was offering to help!

He was from a special unit called the Tourism Police. I had never run nto Tourism Police in the US, but apparently a few major tourism cities have them.

Their job is both to protect and to help tourists. I had never heard of such a thing anywhere else I have been. Who else has has experience with Tourism Police?

He removed the tire. took the tire to go get it patched up, then insisted on remounting it for me.

His name is Luis and he is my amigo!!

It's funny how awkward the brand names can be in another language. I just realized that I bought a bottle of GRISI body wash.

The I In Spanish is pronounced like a hard E in English.
