We experience stress in sport, performance, and everyday life. While stress is not always a bad thing, when we do nothing to work through our stress, it can become all consuming and lead to burnout. In this video, Dr. Peter Olusoga provides several key tips to navigating stress including building our self-awareness, learning to find things we love outside of our sport, and creating values that align with who we are as whole people (not just performers).

To hear more from Dr. Olusoga, you can check out his podcast Eighty Percent Mental. This video is sponsored by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwxb8P5EOF0

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Emeritus Professor Tony Morris, a founding leader in the sport and exercise psychology community in Australia and around the world.

Tony was instrumental in establishing the Australian Psychological Society’s College of Sport and Exercise Psychologists and advancing graduate education and training in the field. His leadership helped shape sport and exercise psychology as a profession and inspired generations of practitioners and researchers.

Known for his sharp intellect, warmth, and humor, Tony will be remembered not only for his many contributions to the field, but for his kindness, mentorship, and humanity.
