So, I've been super careful with money for years, always saving every penny, never buying anything nice for myself, just so we can pay the rent for our cute little house. Paul and I would both chip in for it, but he was always the one to actually pay the landlord. I never questioned it because I trusted my husband, I mean, we've been together since forever.

Anyway, he was off on this short business trip, and I thought, "He's doing so much for us, I'll just take care of the rent this month and surprise him." So I go to the bank, tell the teller I need to pay the rent and give them the account number Paul had written down in his notepad for our landlord.

The teller looks it up and says, "Yeah, this account gets the payments every month." But then, MY STOMACH DROPS AND I GO PALE as she says, "This account belongs to... ⬇️

MY SON AND HIS PREGNANT GIRLFRIEND YELLED WHEN THEY HEARD MY NEWBORN DAUGHTER'S NAME AND DEMANDED I CHANGE IT.

I had my son at 20. I chose to become a mom again 22 years later.

When I was four months pregnant, my son, Kyle, who was in college at the time, told me that his girlfriend was pregnant. I had been supportive and provided them with a lot of financial assistance.

Recently, I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl. They came to the hospital to congratulate me, but when they found out her name was Clara, Kyle's girlfriend screamed. I swear, I thought I had become deaf!

Imagine this - I had to spend my daughter's birthday at a theme park next to my cheating ex-husband. The wounds were still fresh and I didn't want to talk to him, so the thought of being around him all day was killing me.

Then things got even worse. My ex-mother-in-law and my ex's mistress joined us.
I could not imagine a worse situation. I had to spend the whole day in the company of people who had betrayed and hated me. But things got even worse very quickly.

At my daughter's request, we all sat together in the same gondola on the Ferris wheel. I wanted to get out of there fast, but the wheel suddenly stopped. We were stuck at the top, though it wasn't the height that scared me the most.

My mother-in-law started the conversation I wanted to avoid the most with the words, “We all need to talk!”
