Appian Media Accurate, engaging, and freely available Bible
docu-series, podcasts, and more! We believe that the Bible is the greatest story ever told.

It has the power to connect with everyone because it is a message that can be communicated across languages, cultures, and through various methods. Appian Media Resources, Inc. was incorporated in 2016 as a 501c3 not-for-profit organization in response to the growing need to re-engage people with the life-changing power of the Bible, by creating biblically accurate, visually engaging content that

is free to the world. The name "Appian Media" originates from the Roman roadway known as "The Appian Way," built in the 1st century. This road was the most impressive of its kind and opened up huge opportunities for travel, commerce, and for military campaigns. This road, however, while originally designed for worldly pursuits, was used by the 1st century Christians to bring the gospel to places that were not easily accessible before. They used whatever avenues were available to them to further the cause of Christ. (Acts 25:18)

By taking advantage of the “Appian Way of our time”; the roadways of the internet and media, this content is designed to be distributed into many places around the world where traditional evangelism would be difficult or even impossible.

How much compromise does it take to drift away from God? How much sin should a church allow in its midst before they finally take a stand?

The Christians in Thyatira weren't suddenly abandoning their faith. They were facing pressure from every direction - economic pressure, social pressure, and the temptation to fit in with the culture around them.

One small compromise here. One rationalization there.

Until they began to look more like the world than the people of God.

That's why Jesus gave His longest message in Revelation to this often-overlooked church.

We travel to ancient Thyatira in modern-day Turkey to uncover the city's hidden history and the powerful warning Christ gave believers who were struggling to remain faithful.

What we discovered there makes Jesus' words feel just as relevant today as they were 2,000 years ago.

Watch the full episode now and discover what the church in Thyatira can teach us about faithfulness in a compromising culture. ⬇️

The Christians in Pergamum weren't persecuted for their belief in Jesus.

They were persecuted for their exclusive belief in Jesus.

Sound familiar?

The church in Pergamum faced a culture that demanded compromise, tolerance of false worship, and acceptance of beliefs that conflicted with God's truth. Jesus' message to them is just as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago.

How can Christians remain faithful when the culture pushes us to water down what we believe in order to be accepted?

Watch the full episode to explore the ancient city of Pergamum and discover why Jesus' warning still matters today.

What if the place Jesus called “where Satan dwells” was a real city?

In Revelation 2, Jesus sent a message to Christians living in Pergamum—a city filled with idol worship, emperor cults, pagan temples, and the famous Altar of Zeus that many associate with the "Throne of Satan."

As we walk the ruins of this ancient city, the warning Jesus gave becomes impossible to ignore: don't compromise your faith to fit the culture around you.

The challenges faced by first-century Christians may be more familiar than you think.

This remastered and extended episode includes enhanced visuals and additional content to help bring the ancient world of Pergamum to life like never before.

Imagine walking through ancient Ephesus… and seeing idols everywhere you looked.

Massive buildings. Statues lining the streets. The influence of Artemis dominating the entire city.
This wasn’t hidden in the background—it was impossible to ignore.

And then Paul arrived.

The message of the gospel spread so powerfully that sales of Artemis statues started to drop… sparking the riot we read about in Acts.

Seeing Ephesus today makes the Bible feel incredibly real.

What would it have felt like to live as a Christian in Ephesus?

Every street was filled with idols. Massive temples towered over the city. Refusing to worship Caesar could make you an enemy of Rome.

And yet… this is the church Jesus told:
“You have abandoned the love you had at first.”

Our remastered 4K extended episode, Trial & Triumph: Ephesus, explores the ancient city behind one of Revelation’s most powerful messages.

This special edition includes bonus footage not present in the original release — including a visit to St. John’s Basilica in Ephesus, the traditional burial place of the apostle John.

Walk the ruins. See the archaeology. Understand the pressure the early Christians faced.
