Keeping track of important documents can be a challenge for people experiencing homelessness. That's why we're so grateful for our partner with the Marion County Health Department. Clients can work with their case manager to get their lost birth certificate, which leads to ID cards, which leads to jobs, and then, hopefully - HOUSING!

Just got out of jail and need to get your ID?
If you already had an Indiana State ID (current or expired):
You can order a duplicate online using your State ID number or your BMV login.
Don’t know your State ID number or login? No problem — visit your local BMV office. They can verbally verify your information and help you order your ID.

If you’ve never had an Indiana State ID:
You’ll need:

A Residency Verification Letter (from a shelter or case manager)
OR
A completed Residency Affidavit (Form 55306) (filled out by the person you're staying with or shelter staff)
AND
Your release papers from the jail to help verify your identity.
