🚫The customer is NOT always right🚫 managers, and owners. We’d love to hear how you handle this when a item is prepared perfectly temperature wise, but the customer disagrees.

Do you take it off the check?
Do you offer a discount?
Or do you just explain it and break out the thermometer?

We’d love to hear it. Go back to our previous episode about customer entitlement because we covered a lot of topics that we know you all have great stories to share on!

Honest answer Q&A 🤣

A little fun with some rapid fire Q&A with Chef Courtney

How would you answer these questions?

Being a mother in the restaurant industry versus being a father in the restaurant industry is a huge difference. Courtney was able to do it all as as well as being a chef owner at the same time with two little ones.

If you love supporting local and you love supporting women in business, please do us a favor and go listen to this episode. It’s hysterical because her five month old spent just as much time in the conversation as we did lol

And that’s off to all the women making it happen and still showing up as the boss bi***es they are while pregnant, dealing with life, and holding it down everywhere else!

New episode will drop on Sunday!

The right way to deal with politics in a restaurant…

04/01/2026

This is the first time I’ve ever been able to review a restaurant on the podcast! is one of my top three goats in Hampton Roads. -

We want to start incorporating more reviews of restaurants as the year goes on so drop some below that we need to go check out! 🫵🏼👇🏼

As far as Blanca is concerned… There is no question that you need to get there and try it! Restaurant Tony here and that’s my straight up review of this place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Also, all of the influences I talked about being on the plate come from Courtney’s amazing background in the culinary world. Check out the full interview to see where she went to school, cooked abroad, and in the US before, bringing her talents to the 757.

There are so many chefs in this area that deserve to be celebrated and we are proud to be a part of bringing them to Light. Now it’s on you 757 to show up and support them and spread the word!

Thank you so much for having us both out to emcee and judge this year‘s event again this year!

It’s amazing to see our culinary community come together and see what you do for adults with disabilities in the community! Your culinary connection program is amazing and it was truly a joy to give out awards to your student chefs!

Shout out to the local restaurants who showed up and showed out with their recipes and amazing support.

The wine was flowing, the music was pumping, and the food was incredible! We can’t wait to see what next year brings with this event, and we are so honored to be a part of it!

Thank you so much - Chef + KC ♥️

NEW EPISODE - MOM POWER ACTIVATED! 👶

Meet Courtney - the BADASS chef/owner of Restaurant Blanca who literally worked the line until she went into LABOR! 🤯

This woman is the definition of dedication. From UVA politics major to NYC kitchens to staging in Italy, she built one of Hampton Roads’ most respected restaurants while raising 2 little ones.

The realest moment? Her baby starts crying during our interview and she just keeps going like the absolute BOSS she is! This is also a first for us having a baby on the podcast lol. This is what working mom life actually looks like - chaotic, beautiful, and REAL. 💪

This episode is for every woman who’s been told she can’t have both a career and a family. Courtney proves you absolutely CAN - it’s just harder than anyone tells you.
