Indiana Professional Chapter of SPJ A chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists

IndyPro is proud to represent journalists in Indiana, birthplace and modern-day home of the national Society of Professional Journalists. Our organization works to promote and protect First Amendment freedoms and encourages training for current and future journalists by offering professional development opportunities and college journalism scholarships. We also recognize the accomplishments of the state’s top journalists through our annual Best of Indiana Journalism Awards.

A note from the Indiana Chapter of SPJ:
The Indiana Chapter of SPJ stands for press freedom, and with the students and staff of the Indiana Daily Student. What’s unfolding in Bloomington is an affront to the free and independent press our Constitution enshrines. We encourage IU administrators to look no further than the school’s own motto “Lux et Veritas” that is, light and truth, as they take corrective action to right this fundamental wrong.

In November, we're hosting a Zoom event with Zina Kumok, a professional financial advisor with C.H. Douglas & Gray. If you're wondering about how best to tackle student loans, save for a car or home, or expand your family, Zina will try to help. What else would you like her to talk about? Please send questions you'd like her to try to answer to [email protected].
