Sometimes I think storytellers of every stripe are pushed so hard by the economic realities of life that they tend to think there must be a magic incantation that one can simply whisper over their laptop one dark and foreboding night, blow a few ashes onto the screen from the ceremonial burning of one of their book covers, and The Muse of Popularity will suddenly show herself and grant us our wishes of stardom.
