Happening today: CountryMark is celebrating the completion of a $100 million expansion of its diesel fuel production operation in Mount Vernon.

The farmer-owned cooperative, which operates in oil production, refining and marketing, said the upgrades to the refinery will not only improve its diesel fuel quality but also increase production of renewable diesel.

A Fort Wayne-based orthopedic startup is nearing the beginning of an FDA-approved clinical trial for its knee implant that could help people avoid total knee replacement.

BioPoly has its first patient on the schedule for the BioPoly Partial Resurfacing Knee Implant, which is designed for middle aged patients who are too young for total knee replacement.

CEO Herb Schwartz told Inside INdiana Business the implant surface uses an orthopedic biomaterial created that self lubricates and mimics cartilage.

Indianapolis rolled out the orange carpet for the WNBA’s brightest stars for a jam-packed All-Star Weekend.

“We feel that the hospitality industry is ready, and with hotel rates two or three times higher than a normal weekend, [it’s] big business for the city," Visit Indy Executive Vice President Chris Gahl said.

An estimated 70,000 fans visited Downtown Indianapolis for the All-Star Game and related events, which included activations from 20 corporations.

Gerry Dick talked to Gahl and Mel Raines, CEO of Pacers Sports and Entertainment, about the weekend's impact, what it's doing for Indianapolis' visibility and much more.
