Every good game night has courses. Here's ours:

Appetizer: Payback, a fast little card game full of betrayal energy. Perfect for warming up the table.

Main Course: Castlore. Cast a Spell, pick your path, watch the table get chaotic in the best way.

Dessert: A Royal Will. Greed, bluffing, and a shared pot nobody can agree on. The perfect way to close it out.

What's on your game night menu?

In Castlore, using your Tax spell means you can promote one of your cards to trump suit. Land a trick with it, and you’re not just winning the hand, you’re collecting a tax from your opponents and pulling in crystals.

When we were designing Castlore, we loved the idea of pulling some of the most exciting and unpredictable elements from other classic trick-taking games into our Grimoire. This part of the Tax spell was inspired by the promoted Jacks in Euchre.

In Castlore, playing the lowest card isn’t always the best play...

Sometimes holding back on those rune cards is exactly how you end up walking away with the crystals instead. It rewards the players thinking two steps ahead, not just playing what’s best in the moment.

Thanks to Gen Con TV and Elisa Meléndez | ElisaRockDoc for playing Castlore with us at Gen Con !

I wonder what else we can draw and make appear 😂

Who was able to get their hands on some of this merch at Gen Con?!

If you didn’t, don’t worry. We’re working on having this available to EVERYONE soon!

Most trick-taking games lock you into exactly 4 players. We didn’t think that was fair to anyone whose game night doesn’t fit that number.

Castlore flexes from 2 all the way up to 5. Small date night? Works. Whole friend group crammed onto one couch? Also works. Random mix of cousins at a holiday gathering? Still works.

Every seat at the table gets the same tricks, the same strategy, the same castle drama. No watered down “kids table” version, no house rules to make it fit. Just one game that bends to whatever squad shows up.

How big is your game night group? Let us know in the comments! 👇
