Sip of the Day: Kessel Run from BarrieHaus Beer Co. This beauty is the perfect blend of dark roasty malts with the right amount of smoky goodness. Its like a campfire in a glass! BarrieHaus definitely needs to be on your list if you're in the Tampa area!

I recently got to visit The Liquid Garage Brewing Co. in New Port Richey to see what the hype was all about...and it lived up to it! I spend a lot of time in Iowa so it was cool seeing all of the Iowa memorabilia throughout the taproom. As a kid I played the license plate game with my family on long road trips so I especially loved the license plate bar top. The beer choices were plentiful so I went with a flight. They were all delicious but their Oktoberfest was the highlight. Definitely check them out if you're in the area...I'm already looking forward to getting back to try the rest!

Got to stop in at DEEP Brewing Company last weekend for their 10th Anniversary celebration. The place was packed and the vibe was hopping! I managed to get a seat at the bar and ordered up a flight. As always the beer was great but the Oh Swell was the highlight! It's described as a tropical swell rolls in: sun-ripe strawberry and juicy pineapple crash over a smooth coconut undertow, all riding a bright, tart wheat sour. If you're anywhere near Tallahassee make your way to Deep for some great brews!

I've got Georgia on my mind... Georgia Beer Co. that it is. Tucked away in a 100 year old building is the Georgia Beer Company. They had a bunch of tasty looking beers so of course that called for a flight. Gabby was my bartender and was awesome and very knowledgeable and explained each beer. Halfway through my flight she offered up a personal tour of the brewery, so I, along with the others enjoying their beer got to see how the magic is made. I wrapped up my visit with the Destress Express, a fantastic coffee stout. If you're in the Valdosta area or even just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in, you won't be disappointed!
