E-T Weather Update Thursday Evening, January 15:

A chilly night with lows in the 30s amid mostly clear skies and breezy conditions.

Mostly sunny Friday with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s amid mostly sunny skies and lows in the lower to middle 30s. Expect breezy conditions through the day.

The weekend will be chilly with highs Saturday in the 40s amid mostly sunny skies and lows well into the 20s with a chilly N/NW wind. For Sunday, expect highs in the 37-41 degree range amid mostly sunny skies and lows between 27-32 degrees.

Chilly conditions continue as we start the new week with highs Monday and Tuesday in the 40s and lows in the lower 20s Monday night, possibly upper teens in some locations. Lows Tuesday night will range between 27-31 degrees.

Highs climb back into the 50s for the most part Wednesday and Thursday with rain chances returning late Wednesday through the end of the week. Lows will be in the 40s Wednesday through Friday.

Le’Yonna Washington made a bright entrance as the first baby of 2026 born at South Sunflower County Hospital’s Maternity Care Center in Indianola. Arriving on New Year’s Day, she was welcomed by her mother, Tyonna Granderson of Itta Bena, and her father, Le’Morion Washington, along with the hospital’s maternity team.
