NEW BOOK RELEASE
A Season to Remember: Talent, Turmoil, Betrayal, Resilience
& the Greatest Season in Modern Ole Miss Football

Editor Neil White to sign at Abraham’s in Indianola: June 19, 2026 from 1-3 p.m.

OXFORD, MS — A new coffee table book released this week captures every dramatic, confusing, frustrating, and inspiring moment of the unprecedented 2025-2026 football season that Ole Miss players, coaches, and fans endured.
The book, A Season to Remember: Talent, Turmoil, Betrayal, Resilience & the Greatest Season in Modern Ole Miss Football (Nautilus, $45.00), is organized as the subtitle reads. The opening section highlights the underestimated 2025 team’s raw talent (including the emergence of backup quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who took the college football world by storm). Part two — Turmoil — follows the utter disarray caused by Lane Kiffin’s search for another job while coaching a team that was playoff bound. Part three — Betrayal — covers the 48-hour period between the end of the Egg Bowl — including behind-closed-door meetings and Kiffin’s attempts to dismantle the coaching staff after being told “no” — and the moment the former head coach flew away from Oxford in LSU jets. The final section, Resiliency, highlights Ole Miss’s groundbreaking run in the College Football Playoff.
Neil White, editor of A Season to Remember, said, “We assembled a team of contributors that included Robert Khayat (who wrote the introduction as well as a comparison between the 1959 team and the 2025 team); Rick Cleveland, who wrote candidly about Kiffin; the February NCAA appeal in Pittsboro, Mississippi; and the outlook for newly appointed head coach Pete Golding; Chuck Rounsaville, who covered Ole Miss football for 48 years, created his Ole Miss Mount Rushmore teams; Jeff Roberson, who reported for The Ole Miss Spirit for 30+ years, wrote about the love story among Ole Miss, New Orleans, and the Sugar Bowl; and Sparky Reardon, author of The Dean, who wrote a hilarious essay, “Don’t Let the Door Hit Ya’,” about Ole Miss coach’s leaving the university.
“During the 2025 season,” White continued, “Ole Miss had more fascinating story lines than just about any other team in the 156-history of college football.”
A Season to Remember features photographic essays of each of the Rebels’ 15 games, including expanded coverage of each playoff game. The editorial also includes timelines, media coverage, quotes, and rants (from the likes of Paul Finebaum and Stephen A. Smith) about the Ole Miss saga, and full coverage of the courtroom battles between behemoth NCAA and the best underdog story of the year, Trinidad Chambliss.
A Season to Remember is a limited-edition book.
“There will be no second press run,” White said. “When these copies are gone, they’re gone.”
Book signings are currently schedule for —
June 19, 2026, Abraham’s, Indianola, 1-3 p.m.

E-T Weather Update Monday Evening, June 15:

Other than a slight chance for some isolated storms tonight, the majority of the Delta looks to remain dry. Lows will be around 70 degrees with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

Tuesday will feature highs in the lower 80s and lows in the 68-73 degree range with a slight chance for a shower or storm.

Expect dry conditions Wednesday and much of Thursday. Highs will be in the 80s to near 90 degrees both days with a mix of sun and clouds. Lows will be in the lower to middle 70s.

The forecast models have been going back and forth on where the heaviest rain will be. Per the latest model guidance this evening, the majority of the heavy rain will be south of HWY 82, and along and south of I-20. Within these areas, 2-5 inches of rain will be possible. For areas along and north of HWY 82, rainfall totals will be around an inch or less.

A disturbance in the Gulf will bring an abundance of moisture back into the region by the end of the week and weekend. This will be the culprit for showers and storms.

Showers and storms could begin Thursday night with heavier downpours at times, especially south of HWY 82. We will remain in an unsettled pattern Friday into the weekend and into the beginning of next week, though each day won’t be a washout and it likely won’t rain everywhere. Storms that do develop could produce gusty wind, lightning, heavy downpours, and perhaps some small hail. An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out, though the threat for that is very low.

Keep in mind, this is a rather difficult forecast, and things will likely change over the next few days, so continue to check back for updates here in the E-T Weather Center…God bless

E-T Weather Update Sunday Morning, June 14:

Highs today will range between 89-92 degrees with lows between 68-72 degrees amid mainly sunny to partially cloudy skies.

Per the latest model guidance, we may miss out on the bulk of the rain tonight through Tuesday. There are some discrepancies among the models, but I’m leaning more toward us remaining mostly dry, with a slight chance for a few showers or storms tonight through Tuesday.

Highs Monday will be in the lower 80s with lows in the upper 60s to near 70 amid a mix of sun and clouds. Much of the same for Tuesday.

Wednesday will feature highs in the 88-93 degree range with lows in the middle 70s amid mainly sunny to partially cloudy skies. Winds will be gusty throughout the day.

Rain and storm chances return Thursday through the weekend; as of now, I’m not expecting it to rain everywhere nor will it be a washout any given day, but isolated to scattered showers and storms will be possible each day. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Lows will be in the 70s for the most part.

We will continue to keep you abreast of any changes to the forecast throughout the day; if storms can develop and become widespread tonight and Monday, and that’s a big IF, expect heavy downpours at times, with thunder and lightning and some gusty wind. No severe weather is expected…God bless
