Hey all! I wanted to jump on here and offer a few different places that are in need of monetary donations to help with recovery operations and assistance with the recent flood that has devastated Hill Country in TX.
As many of you know, we have a huge heart to rally and deliver donations in times of need during natural disasters. With that said, TX officials are saying they have been covered in material donations and no longer need those (what a blessing!), but still need monetary donations to help in the efforts.
If you are feeling led to give in any capacity, we're providing a small, but vetted list of places in the area that need assistance. I will add direct links in the comments. Please only use the links provided (especially for the fire department), as scammers are making fake accounts. And as always, whether or not you are able or led to give monetarily, your continued prayers for safety and encouragement to those in need are always appreciated.
1- The general Kerr County Flood Relief Fund that will help all the cities in Kerr County impacted by the floods.
2- Center Point Volunteer Fire Department- most of their gear and equipment was washed away during the flood. Now that their station is available for use they are working as a hub for volunteers, but are asking for donations for the flood relief as well as to help cover the cost of new equipment. I included the picture of their BUSINESS Venmo. It is exactly as written, but I will try to include a direct link to their Venmo page in the comments as well as their FB page.
3- United Cajun Navy is on the ground and actively helping with recovery and is accepting donations to help fund their efforts.
4- Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team is on the ground helping to care for the rescue and recovery animals as they battle wildlife and the rough terrain.
5- Austin Pets Alive! Has taken in a multitude of animals that have been rescued during the rescue and recovery efforts. They are asking for donations to help cover expenses, and, if you're local to the area and are in need of barn cats, that you would consider adopting from them to free up room for the incomers.
Thank you and God bless!
