Families are invited to head over to Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park next Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a Junior Ranger Jamboree in celebration of Kids to Parks Day! This event is packed full of exciting activities, interesting programs, park rangers and more.

Young visitors can become Junior Rangers, earn their badge and get stamps toward getting a Junior Ranger pin.

Visit multiple activity stations staffed by rangers from a dozen different Florida State Parks, include Crystal River State Parks. Kids will learn about all the natural and cultural resources state parks protect.

A Message from the Mohr Family and Storm Distillery

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved David Mohr, owner of Storm Distillery. As many of you know, David was involved in a recent accident, and despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he has peacefully passed away.

We are deeply moved by the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community over the last few days. Your kindness has been a source of strength for our family.

At this time, we kindly ask for privacy as we process this profound loss and focus on honoring David’s memory. Information regarding services will be shared at a later date.

There have been a lot of things said recently, and I want to address it directly.

If you have not spoken to me personally (Kari Walsh or Richard Walsh at the Deli), then it is simply not true. I have not spoken to any news channels and have respectfully declined all requests for comment.

What is going on is private and not anyone else’s business. I will continue to keep everyone updated when it comes to my business here at the Deli.

As for the distillery, that is not my place to speak on. I kindly ask that everyone respect that and keep David in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️
