The kids get so excited hearing the music when they pull up, and honestly nothing beats a cold treat on a hot Florida day out on the water. They also have drinks available and make it super convenient by accepting card, cash, or tap payments! 🚤💙

Local food truck appreciation post 👏

Tried the Cuban sandwich from Delicious Bites outside the Walmart in Lecanto today and honestly it was really solid.

This one was much larger compared to some of the others I’ve tried locally — packed thick with meat, lots of pickles, plus both mayo AND mustard which I personally prefer over just mustard 😅 The bread had a great crunch and overall it was super filling and flavorful. Served with a bag of Lays and a can of soda for $14. I also tried the rice and beans which were both cooked perfectly and flavorful.

Always trying to support local small businesses and food vendors when I can ❤️ If you see them set up outside Walmart, definitely give them a try!

Just a little reminder (or in case you didn’t know) 📚
With school letting up and the summer heat rolling in, the library is SUCH a good, air conditioned place to get the kiddos out of the house!

And it’s way more than just books—think coloring, blocks, puzzles, computers, Legos, and more 🙌

My kiddos have been enjoying “Books & Babies,” and “Little Learners” and what’s even better is that all of our local Citrus County libraries offer similar classes on different days, which helps make it more flexible with your schedule.

And if you don’t already have one—getting a library card is completely FREE!

Definitely worth checking out—especially during these hot Florida days! ☀️

If you’re looking for a laid-back, family-friendly spot on the water, Crumps Landing is always a win 🙌

Tucked right along the Homosassa River, this place has that true Old Florida feel—think big tiki huts, tons of shaded seating, and a breezy waterfront atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. 🌴

On the weekends, they’ve got live music that just adds to the vibe, making it a fun spot whether you’re out for a casual lunch or hanging with friends. 🎶

And if you’ve got kids—this is the best part—there’s a playground right there so they can play while you actually get to sit and enjoy your meal (parents, you get it 😂).

The menu has a little bit of everything from easy handhelds to tacos, seafood favorites, nachos and more there’s something for everyone. They’ve also got Sushi on the weekends!

Closing out strawberry season and saying hello to blueberries! 🫐💙

We spent the day at Amber Brooke Farms Eustis —dirty clothes, muddy shoes, full buckets, and lots of fun on the farm. 🚜

Blueberries are just getting started, but we found plenty! I put their April picking schedule in the comments. If anyone knows of anyone Citrus County Blueberry picking spots, we’d love to support them, please drop the location in the comments! ⬇️

Spent the day exploring Rogers Park right next to Venetian Gardens and it did NOT disappoint 🙌

Perfect for all ages!
✔️ 3 playgrounds (toddler, mid-size & big kids)
✔️ Tons of swings (including infant + handicap)
✔️ Zip line, climbing ropes, ladders, seesaw, balance beams + more!
✔️ Shaded areas + soft mulch grounds
✔️ 2 Pavillions with picnic tables

They also have restrooms + a splash pad 💦 ($2 per person, under 2 free | open 12–5) they did say it was $2 per adult as well which I think is a little silly! 😅

⚠️ Mom note: It is NOT fenced in and it’s pretty close to the parking lot, which made me a little nervous. If you have multiple kiddos or younger toddlers, I’d definitely recommend bringing another adult with you!

👍 Another thing I loved—the big kid playground has really tall slides, BUT it’s enclosed up top so there aren’t any big open areas for kids to fall out of!
