“Healthy” looks different on every single person.

TW: Body Image & ED

When people commented and applauded my appearance the most, was when I was the most UNHEALTHY I ever was. But on my end, it was the worst I have ever felt about myself.

In the first picture (1 year ago), I was:
-Purging almost 8x a day
-Working out 2-3x a day
-Always hungry
-Replacing meals with energy drinks
-Constantly bodychecking and breaking down about how I “still looked huge”

In the second picture (now), I am:
-Working out when I want to feel better, not to make me smaller
-Not making myself workout after eating candy, chips, fast food, etc.
-Giving myself grace
-Finding love in the body that I was born with

I’m my case, being lean, showing muscle definition, and having a flat stomach WAS NOT HEALTHY.

No matter what you think at first glance, you NEVER know what someone is going through. I was unhappy, always on edge, and my mood swings were through the roof. I was constantly thinking about my next workout& meal, and it was a nasty obsession.

Taking time to commit to yourself and giving your body what it NEEDS, is one of the most important things. You only have one body, so PLEASE treat it with kindness. I’ll always wish I did sooner. ❤️

School + Work + Life balance has been TOO good to me lately. I feel like I am at such a good place with everything in my life and I’m feeling so content 🫶🏼

If you were to tell me at the beginning of the year this is what my life would look like, I wouldn’t know what to say. I’m so grateful for everyone and everything around me 🥰

This is your reminder to get out of your comfort zone, take risks, and trust where things are going. I know things can get really though, but there’s always a positive 💖

July Dumpskiiii ✨🫐🌅☁️💝🏃🏼‍♀️🌼

I have taken this last month to focus on my goals whether it’s fitness related or not, while not focusing too much on what I post/ show others

A good reminder lately is your life is alllll through your own eyes, and I have struggled with it for a while… kind of like a “post it or it didn’t happen” type of thing- BUT I love staying connected with y’all and posting on my stories of little check ins🤍

What I’ve been up to:
- Running consistently for my marathon… it’s getting closer and closer and I’m just getting more and more nervous 🤣
- Lotssss of hot yoga, hot HIIT, and Pilates!! 🤸🏼‍♀️
- OBVIOUSLY making my fav smoothies and meals everyday, while enjoying things like ice cream, dinner dates, and Crumbl of course 🍪
- Saying “yes” to things more often, and not backing out of plans with friends/fam 💗

I hope you’re July was BOMB and I hope your August is even better ❤️‍🔥 With back to school season coming up, y’all better soak upppp the rest of summer!!! I know I am 🌻🌼🌅

My current favorite combo: Yoga & Running 🧘🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

One thing I have ALWAYS done to feel my best during my fitness journey has been yoga first thing in the morning. There was a time where I didn’t skip a day of yoga for 2 months straight, and I NEVER felt better 😌

It makes me look forward to my mornings and lock in for my day- along with clearing my mind for an hour of all the s**t I’m thinking about and what I need to get done that day, work, etc. 🧠

Running has always been a love/hate, but I’m trying to really make myself get into it more since I’m exactly 3 months out from my marathon! I haven’t been pushing myself as much as I know I should, so I’m trying to get into the momentum of 5 runs a week ❤️‍🔥

Let’s talk: Falling out of routine/ feeling lost 🩵

For the last couple weeks, I have felt SO lost within my fitness journey and have been in a such a big rutt. It’s hard to get myself up and moving and I haven’t felt like this for a while. It has even been a mental battle to go on a walk.

At one point in my fitness journey I would workout up to 3-4x a day, and that caused me to feel extreme burnout for a long period of time, along with feeling like 1 small workout a day wasn’t enough to even do anything at all.

I wanted to be transparent about it since I know I’m not the only one who has felt this way- and it’s completely normal!!!

m finally starting to feel like I am back on track after the past few weeks!! 😅

After a long week of travel and LOTS of good eating- I found myself at a realllll big rutt in my motivation and discipline. Getting back into routine is NEVER easy for me- but it’s so normal!!

Lil life updates:
- Working a BUNCH at lulu, trying to balance work/ fitness/ social life 🕺🏼
- I got a CrossFit membership!!! Starting to implement new training and switch things up to make things exciting- I have ALWAYS wanted to do it, but I never thought I “could” 🏋🏼‍♀️
- Still running and starting slow for my marathon prep! I feel like I am back at square one since my half last year, but I’m trying to stay positive even thought it has been pretty difficult! 🏃🏼‍♀️

I’m finally starting to feel like I am back on track after the past few weeks!! 😅

SO excited for this next week!!! ❤️‍🔥

I’m headed on a trip on Thursday and I’M SO FREAKING EXCITED!!! ✈️✈️ I’ve been prepping everything and getting all of my ducks in a row for this next week and a half!! I am so happy I’ll be able to vlog everything and share it with you all! 💘

What I’ve been up to:
- Finding my groove in the gym/ finding what movement actually makes me happy🏋🏼‍♀️
- Planning out content and figuring out a plan that works with my lifestyle 🎧
- Fixating on my FAV smoothie (nothing has changed LOL) 🍌🥜
- Rekindling my love for running - marathon training has been pretty difficult to adjust to 🏃🏼‍♀️

The road to 26.2 BEGINS NOW! 🏃🏼‍♀️

I am officially going to be running the FULL Des Moines Marathon in October ❤️‍🔥🎉

Someone told me today “why run if no one is chasing you?” And it was so funny at first, but then I really thought about it-

I am chasing MYSELF. I am chasing the best and strongest version of myself- and there are no limitations. 📈

So here’s to 5 months of dedication- LETS DO THE DAMN THING!! 🏃🏼‍♀️🤍
