Excitement turned into devastation when I suddenly felt sick during a photoshoot yesterday. I was at 9 weeks and a few days pregnant. I rushed to the University of Iowa Hospital with David, only to discover I had suffered a miscarriage. This photo was taken a few weeks ago. It has been very hard on both of us, especially since I had been concerned about this pregnancy due to my PCOS diagnosis and back pain caused by scoliosis, for which I was undergoing physical therapy. We were closely monitored at the fertility clinic every 2-3 weeks and were concerned about the baby's sack growth, and then this happened. We are slowly healing.
