Iowa-Nebraska: Yardage isn’t winning, winning is winning

Hlas: Iowa-Nebraska approaches. One team gets outgained and wins Big Ten games. The other outgains its foes by a lot and loses. Why? Because of things that matter more.

Impossibly, it seems, Huskers have outscored Big Ten foes while going 1-7

Hawkeyes’ imperfect perfect November continues

Hlas: How can you be a win from a 10-2 season with offense that is, well, not good? If you're Iowa, your answer is a shopworn sports cliche. You just keep battling.

Iowa is a win from 10-2, and that’s the stat that matters

It wasn't glamorous, but Iowa did enough to beat Illinois and keep Big Ten West hopes alive for another week

Most of Iowa’s performance wasn’t glamorous. It won’t wow many people. But it was enough for a much-needed 33-23 victory over Illinois.

Is it Wrestling season yet?
My Publisher and I came up with this unique way to advertise my Science Fiction novel "He Said". Hello,My name is John Amerson. I have a theory about the "Pamdemic". I heard that China is trying to blame the United Stated for the virus that started in China and has caused the "Pandemic" around the world. Let me say that again slowly. I heard that China is trying to blame the United Stated for the virus that started in China and has caused the "Pandemic" around the world. I was right, it sounded just as stupid the second time I read it as it did the first time I read it. I also heard that China has got operatives in America and around the world spreading their propaganda (Fake News) that the covid-19 virus was started by America and taken to China. America and the rest of the world needs to wake up as to how cruel, dishonest and ruthless the President of China and the communist Party that rules China really are. Read my theory below on how they wanted to conquer the world without firing a shot. They tried to kill millions of Americans and hundreds of millions of people around the world with the virus they unleashed upon the world. On pages 200 and 201 in the Science Fiction novel "He Said" that I wrote Jack and Thomas warn John Carl how China and some of the other countries that are hostile to America are joining forces to put an outpost on the Moon so they, China will be able to control the world by threatening to destroy all of the communication satellites of the countries that do not submit to their demands. I think they may have found a cheaper way. When I heard that China had threatened to withhold needed medicines from the United States It got me to thinking. If I was the dictator of China with over a billion people and I wanted to conquer the world without firing a shot how would I do it? I would design a virus or find a virus that the world had no defense against. I would infect hundreds or even thousands of my own people with the virus without letting them know. Then I would allow some of the infected people to leave China even to the point of paying their way making sure they were scattered to the four corners of the earth. If the virus could kill less just say a few million Americans and fifty to a hundred million of the other people around the planet I would be able to control the commerce of the world. Especially with the seven man made islands / bases in the South China Sea. As a dictator I would gladly sacrifice a few thousands, hundreds of thousands or even a few million of my own people to give the impressing that the release of the virus upon the world was an accident and not on purpose. Their deaths would be a small price to pay if there was a chance I could not conquer the world but control the commerce of the billions of people around the world. It's just a theory but it's a good theory. No one would ever think that the ruler of China could be so ruthless as to kill his own people. But President Saddam Hussein of Iraq did, President Bashar al-Assad of Syria does and the Supreme Leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un does. In a dictatorship the people are basically the property of the government to do with as they see fit. Obey or die. Speak out, die or go to a labor camp and then die. The only way to prevent this "Pandemic" from happening again in my opinion is for the world to join forces and stop or drastically reduce doing business with China so China will no longer be a super power. If you agree that we should become self-sufficient and not rely on China for needed medicines, foods and all the other thousands of products that the United States and all the other countries around the world imports from China please send this email to ten people asking them to do the same. My goal is to keep advertising my novel and theory until my novel sells 5,000,000 e-book copies worldwide or China is no longer a "Super Power". Thank you for your support

It's been a rough couple of weeks for Hawkeye fans as Bump Elliott passed away and now Hayden Fry. Iowa athletics wouldn't be where it is today without these two men. May the souls of these two former Marines rest in peace and their legacies live on in the hearts of Hawkeye fans and players for generations to come. Thank you for serving our country and the State of Iowa gentlemen.
Blowing kisses goodbye!

From what I have read, the 39 plays was the least in any FBS game this year. I am curious how the 115 total yards allowed by Iowa ranks for all FBS games played this year.
