Making the annual square wrap up post always offers up surprising creative themes of the year. I would say this year’s came up more verdant and hopeful than I’d imagined, as challenging as it has been. I still believe in the Power of the People, and look forward to expressing, recording, reacting, and conversing with you all here in this New Year! Citizens of the world, have a great 2026! I originally created a black sky, but thoughtful editing suggested a twilight violet (and none of the interior pages involved night animal activity).

Light snacks and libations.

As this month winds down, and gift-sending reaches its zenith, this maker will be closing her Etsy doors starting Tuesday, December 16th. Snow falling here in Iowa City. Here’s an archived piece of a favorite human and feline winter activity in our house, bird watching (although I call this piece “Winter Watching”). Our current kitty Cannoli loves to stalk and gawk behind glass doors. She’s more dedicated to the decades old faux furs she snuggles into on eves like this. Keep safe and warm this evening, everyone.
