Congratulations to the Irmo Varsity Girls Basketball team as they won the Crystal Division in the "She Got Next" Thanksgiving Tournament. The Yellow Jackets under first year coach Coretta Ferguson beat the Columbia Caps 67-17 in the first game, then beat the Wilson Tigers to win the Tournament. Irmo improves to 3-0 on the young season.

Irmo will face off against Newberry at home on Tuesday, December 2. Game time is 6:00pm.

Tomorrow morning’s commute could be interesting for a few of us. The train people are back with a road closure!

CSX Transportation has announced it will perform an emergency track repair in Irmo.

Where?

Pebble Gate at St. Andrews Road
Closed: Monday, 12/1/25 at 8:30 AM
Reopening: Tuesday, 12/2/25 by 6 AM

This is a total closure, meaning no traffic will be allowed across the track until the work is complete. They’ll be working all the live long day.

There will be signs and a detour route posted, but that’s never gotten in the way of our chaos. Stay safe out there!
