So a 6 year old & 16 year old took a loaded gun to school today. What’s going on Columbia????

They thought the pain would destroy me.

And for a while,
I did too.

I carried things I never deserved.
Cried tears nobody knew about.
Smiled while my heart was breaking.
Loved people through s**t that changed the way I love forever.

There were days I didn’t recognize myself.

Days I questioned God.
Days I questioned me.
Days I wondered how the hell I was supposed to keep going when I was already tired of being strong.

But somehow…

I kept creating.

I took the betrayal and gave it color.
I took the grief and gave it texture.
I took the anger and gave it a voice.
I took every scar, every disappointment, every “Why me?”
and turned it into something that could no longer hurt me the same way.

Look closely at my masterpiece.

You’ll see where I cracked.
You’ll see where I bled.
You’ll see the places I had to put myself back together with trembling hands.

But you’ll also see something else.

I’m still here.

Not untouched.
Not unchanged.
Not pretending none of it happened.

Just here.

And maybe that’s the most beautiful part of the whole damn picture.

I didn’t create this masterpiece despite my pain.
I created it with it.
