AEP’s Crew members are doing their best to get everyone’s power restored. If you have not yet received power, most customers around the Lawerence County area are receiving an estimated restoration by Tuesday, October 1st around 11:00 PM EDT.

Weather Update

At approximately 1:30 PM eastern standard time yesterday, Friday, September 27th the severe weather has begun picking up due to the hurricane in Florida.

Power outages at the Rock Hill School District begun during that time leading numerous other people without electricity whether you have AEP or Buckeye. An estimated time for some electricity to be restored with AEP is 5-10 days.

At 2:53 PM EDT yesterday the national weather service issued a tornado warning. Frightened numerous people had begun hiding and taking shelter as expected. At approximately 3:20 PM EDT the national weather service announced all clear. Again, approximately 3:07 PM another tornado warning was issued, and was announced all clear soon after. This may have been a system bug as we restarted our device. Damage has been shown and reported leaving some innocent citizens without a home.

With weather forecast being clear for awhile after 4:00 PM EDT yesterday, the wind had picked up again storming for a few hours and then cleared up again. Now we are expecting it to continue raining for quite some time and will hopefully clear up soon.
