Recently, I attended a candlelight service that was most impactful! After everyone lit their candles, a pastor asked: who has been saved 6 months or less—now blow your candle out. Who has been saved 3 years…5 years…10 years…15 years… 20 years and on up the line…with each respective group blowing out their candles until the persons serving the Lord the longest was my friend at 70 years and a gentleman who had walked with the Lord for 82 years!!! WOW!!!!!!!
Here is why that was so impactful: as the candles were being blown out, the remaining candles were shining brightly!!
YOU, who are genuine Believers, carry the light of Jesus within you, which shines brightly in this dark world.
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
YOU ARE CARRYING HIS LIGHT!!!
