One introduction changed everything.

A while back, someone asked if I knew the right person for a project.

I made the introduction.

A few months later, they called me.

That one connection had turned into a major partnership and generated more revenue than either of them expected.

I didn't make a dollar from it.

And honestly, that wasn't the point.

I've learned that one of the most valuable things you can give someone isn't money.

It's access.

The right introduction at the right time can change a business, a career, or even a life.

That's why I never keep good people to myself.

When I know two people who can genuinely help each other, I make the introduction.

Business isn't just about what you build.

It's about the opportunities you create for others.

Ironically, that's how the best opportunities have found their way back to me.

One of my favorite things isn't closing deals.

It's connecting people.

Over the years, I've learned something simple:

The right introduction at the right time can change someone's life.

I've introduced founders to investors.

Authors to publishers.

Speakers to stages.

Brands to creators.

Sometimes nothing happens.

Sometimes a single introduction becomes a multimillion-dollar business, a lifelong friendship, or a career-changing opportunity.

That's why I never underestimate the power of relationships.

Your network isn't measured by how many people know your name.

It's measured by how many people think of you when an opportunity comes along.

Be the person who connects others without expecting anything in return.

Funny enough, that's often how the best opportunities find their way back to you.

Everyone deserves to be heard.

One conversation can change a life.

I've seen it happen on camera, and I've seen it happen when the cameras are off.

Sometimes people don't need advice.

They just need someone willing to listen.

That's why I love podcasting.

Giving people a voice is one of the greatest gifts we can offer each other.

Access changed my life.

Not because I had money.

Not because I knew the right people.

Because I learned to create value.

The funny thing about access is that you can't buy the best of it.

You earn it.

One great conversation leads to another.

One introduction becomes a friendship.

One relationship opens a door you never knew existed.

Looking back, I'm grateful that podcasting gave me a seat at tables I never imagined sitting at.

But the biggest lesson wasn't how to get access.

It was realizing that the best people open doors for people who bring value, not people who simply ask for favors.

That's a lesson I'll never forget.

I used to think the biggest opportunities came from pitching people.

I was wrong.

The biggest opportunities came from serving people.

When I started Founders Story, I wasn't chasing famous guests.

I was chasing great conversations.

I wanted every guest to leave thinking, "That was one of the best interviews I've ever had."

Something interesting happened.

Those guests introduced me to other guests.

Sponsors found us.

Business owners became clients.

Friends became partners.

Not because I asked for anything.

Because people remember how you make them feel.

Too many people network with a transaction in mind.

I've learned to network with curiosity instead.

If you genuinely care about someone's story, opportunities have a funny way of finding you.

Looking back, the podcast wasn't just about building an audience.

It was building trust.

And trust compounds faster than almost anything in business.

People ask me how I travel so much.

The better question is...

How do I keep the business running while traveling?

Years ago, taking time away meant the business slowed down.

Today, it's different.

Whether Kate and I are in Paris, Camiguin, New York, or filming a podcast somewhere around the world, IBH Media keeps moving.

We're interviewing founders.
Closing brand partnerships.
Producing content.
Meeting clients.
Recording episodes of Founders Story.

Travel isn't an escape from work anymore.

It's become part of how I build the business.

Some of our biggest opportunities have come because we were willing to get on a plane, meet people face-to-face, and have conversations that never would have happened over email.

Technology makes remote work possible.

Relationships make business grow.

That's why I don't separate life from business anymore. I build both at the same time.

You don't need to choose between seeing the world and building something meaningful.

Design a business that gives you the freedom to do both.

I didn't start a podcast to become a podcaster.

I started it because I was curious.

I wanted to sit across from the people I admired most and ask the questions everyone else wished they could ask.

That one decision changed my life.

What began as a microphone and a conversation became relationships with some of the world's top entrepreneurs, investors, athletes, and entertainers.

Today, Founders Story has grown to over 1 million YouTube subscribers, but the biggest reward isn't the audience.

It's the perspective.

Every guest has reinforced one lesson: success looks different for everyone, but resilience, curiosity, and consistency never go out of style.

Podcasting has opened doors I never imagined—not because of the camera, but because storytelling builds trust.

People don't connect with your resume.

They connect with your story.

If you're building a business today, don't underestimate the value of your personal brand. Products can be copied. Companies come and go.

But your story is yours alone.

And sometimes, one conversation can change the trajectory of your life.

The early days of building IBH Media were hard.

No big team.

No blueprint.

No guarantees.

Just a belief that if we kept showing up, something would eventually click.

There were days when it felt like we were building momentum... and days when it felt like we were starting over.

What I've learned is this:

Business rarely gets easier.

You just get better.

You make better decisions.

You build better relationships.

You stop chasing every opportunity and start focusing on the right ones.

Looking back, I'm grateful we didn't quit during the hard seasons.

Because those seasons built the company we have today.

If you're in the messy middle of building something, keep going.

One day, the struggle you're living through will become the story you're proud to tell.
