Peak rose season is hitting different this year

Just wanted to share my favorite place on earth. The front entry is practically buried under a waterfall of creamy yellow roses. In the back, I’ve tried to create a lush, English-cottage feel with stone stepping stones leading to an arched arbor seat

What’s the #1 thing you wish you’d known when you started growing carnivores?

Just picked these lil guys up to help control the gnats in my apartment. I’ve been reading up on how to care for them, but would love to hear what y’all wish you’d known when you first started out!

My 8 year old micro bogs

These were started in 2018 and have been thriving ever since. I used large stainless steel bowls and wedged in western red cedar batons to create "logs" for the plants to grow in. Between the sticks I rammed in peat moss and capped it off with fresh live sphagnum moss. The bowls are always kept topped off with water.

& ;

Once established I sprinkled in seeds and waited a very long time before the tiniest of plants showed up. And now when they flower each year I sprinkle more seeds down.

& ;

The trees are incredibly stunted in growth, growing little more than an inch or two a year. There's zero added nutrients except for the rotting needles, rotting wood, and flying insects that meet a sticky demise.

& ;

The moss protects the sundews in winter and the sundews shade the moss in summer. The sundew seeds sprout easily in the moist/humid moss and find water through the gaps in the wood.

& ;

All I do is add water to the bowls and pick out the occasional w**d that starts to sprout.

Help! Moving a giant plant across the county
Hey everyone! I am the proud owner of a Monstera that I got 5 years ago as a little guy and it has since exploded! I’m planning to move across the country and I can’t bear to part with it.

I’m here to ask for advice and or experience: are there any good shipping or moving companies that specialize in plants? I’d put it in my own car but I don’t think it’ll fit. I was thinking maybe I’d cut it back a little and wrap it with cellophane for the journey if I can somehow get it in my car.

I’m losing sleep over this! Thank you :)

Why Is She Wilting?!
Not sure if its because I have it in a pot with no drainage but it says full sun. Will it wilt from either/both?

help, i’m floppy.
My snake plant has never done great. But it’s stupidly sentimental so I’m looking for advice.

First problem was when my cat kept falling into it. She has crossed eyes. I moved it away from her cat tree and that helped. I used some wire to prop up the bent over leaves.

Then Snakey did fine for about a year, had some new growth, sitting in front of a west facing window (mostly just getting early evening light)

But then, in a very slow fashion, I noticed her leaves getting weaker… then some wrinkles…. then flopping. I decided to move her, next to an east facing window. Why? ADHD. I needed to rearrange my living room.

She got worse. So decided I needed to check the roots and here we are. They look fine to me? I gave her new soil (cactus mix, with moisture control mix, with some perlite) and put her back in her pot.

I’m thinking she needs a tighter pot, and more sun?

I neglectfully water.

Any advice is appreciated!
