Circa 2014: drilling new, relocated, guide bolt holes on the Southern 4501. All of the driving gear work (rods, rod bearings, guides, pistons, rods) was performed by Jason. Except in this instance. Jason trammed the guide, Joey and Darby then Drilled and reamed for the new bolts.

How about CMM Monday? The front tubesheet pattern for The Kentucky Railway Museum 's former L&N #152 was layed out in (comparatively) little time utilizing a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).

A test pattern was blasted out to ensure accuracy... and like Cinderella's slipper, it's a perfect fit! What an incredible marriage of relatively crude (boiler making) and precision (machining) technologies!
