Important vs Not Important: Social Media Edition ⚡️

Things change fast in the social media world, so here’s what actually matters right now.

📉 Hashtags: According to , hashtags aren’t the growth engine they once were. We’ve seen this play out across platforms. On LinkedIn and TikTok, we still use 3–5 hashtags per post.

🔍 Keywords are the new discovery tool: Platforms are shifting toward a search-engine model. Keywords in captions, bios, and on-screen text are now essential for discoverability.

🎵 Audio: Your music choice sets the tone and enhances excitement, but it won’t make a post go viral by itself.

👤 Spokesperson: A recognizable face humanizes your brand. People buy from people, and a consistent spokesperson builds trust and connection.

📲 Amplifying posts into stories: Sharing posts to stories helps with CTAs and boosts visibility for existing followers — but it won’t drive virality.

💬 Engaging: Replying to comments signals traction to the algorithm. Early engagement pushes your post to more people. Commenting on posts your target audience follows can also bring in new followers.

⚠️ Hooks: You have seconds to capture attention. Strong visual or audio hooks keep people from swiping away.

📝 Scripting: “Off the cuff” content works sometimes, but planning helps you incorporate hooks, keywords, and clear messaging.
