If you drive Route 17 between Gloucester and Middlesex, mark your calendar — the northbound bridge over Dragon Run closes this Friday, Sept. 18, for a full replacement of the 1931 span. Both directions shift onto the southbound bridge, one lane each way, and VDOT's schedule has this one running into January 2028.
