Our family calendar is basically a full-time job at this point. 😂 Between school, sports, practices, appointments, travel… and somehow adding even MORE activities to the mix, keeping everyone’s schedule straight is a lot.

As a mom of 9-year-olds, we aren’t at the social media stage quite yet—but I know it’ll be here before we know it! 🥹

I recently attended Instagram’s Screen Smart event and learned so much about Instagram Teen Accounts and the built-in protections designed specifically for teens. Here are a few things I think every parent should know:

✨ Teen Accounts automatically come with built-in protections that limit who can contact teens and the content they can see.
✨ Teens are placed into age-appropriate settings across areas like Recommendations, Feed, Stories, comments and DMs.
✨ Teens under 16 need a parent’s permission to make certain settings less strict.
✨ Parents can use supervision tools through Family Center to better understand and help manage their teen’s experience.
✨ These protections are built in automatically, so teens start with more restrictive settings from the beginning.

As a parent, I’ve learned that the days my kids remember most usually aren’t the extravagant ones — they’re the days when I simply say “yes.” 🫶🏼

Our yes day started with a stop ®, where the kids tried the NEW Kids Whatameal. They loved being able to customize their meals exactly how they wanted (Camden chose the Justaburger® with fries and Ella picked the Whatachick’n® Strips with Mott’s Applesauce). And the new surprise prizes were a huge hit.

From there, we spent the afternoon exploring the park, playing together, and ending the day with a picnic full of laughter... and Ella trying to steal Camden’s fries. 😄

After a summer full of travel, I had zero interest in running all over town searching for school supplies. So I tried Impacks KitGenie.
