Active Police Investigation: Talus Community

On September 16, 2025, at approximately 0748 hours, Eastside Fire and Rescue received an alarm for a sprinkler activation in the 300 block of Shangri-la Way (case #25-14791). Upon arrival and entry, fire fighters requested law enforcement response. Issaquah Police received the call for service at 0816 hours (case #25-15723).

Officers responded to the scene to locate one male subject deceased. One female was detained and is currently under arrest for Murder 1, due to blunt force trauma and fire. The suspect was booked into King County Jail. The female is a current resident of the apartment of the incident. It has yet to be confirmed if the male victim is a resident. The fire was isolated to the one apartment and no other units were impacted.

We are currently excluding the name of the suspect to allow officers to identify the victim and notify family first. We appreciate your consideration in this matter.
