This isn’t your typical business post.
But that feels right.

I’ve been sitting with the story of Grandmother Spider, a figure in several Native traditions who represents weaving, creation, and wisdom.

Her lessons remind me so much of how I approach my work:

🌐 Everything is connected.
Your website, your content, your social presence, they all work together as one web.

🧵 Weaving is creation.
Threads of ideas, values, and goals can be shaped into something strong, clear, and beautiful.

✨ Alignment matters.
When work is balanced and aligned, it flows. And it lasts.

The reminder I take from Grandmother Spider is that building a business isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about weaving something strong and true, with all the pieces connected.

P.S. I’m also the one who rescues the house spider and carries her outside. 🕷️

Do you ever stop and marvel at the colors around you?

I sliced open a plum the other day and had to pause. The color was so deep and vibrant it almost didn’t seem real.

Of course, the photos didn’t quite capture it. They rarely do. What I saw — and what I felt — was something else entirely.

That’s the thing about inspiration. It shows up in its own time, often in the quietest places. A piece of fruit, a moment of light, a reminder that beauty doesn’t ask for permission to be noticed.

I’m an introverted creative.
I can hit the “extrovert” button when I need to, but it doesn’t last long.

My battery drains fast in big rooms.
But sometimes I still show up — not to work the room, just to connect.

A few real conversations. No pitch. No pressure. Just presence.

Sometimes showing up doesn’t mean being “on.” Sometimes it just means being open.

Introverts and neurodivergent types unite! (Clements Design and Scribbles Hub) *When we have the energy and inclination. 😅

Last night I stepped out of my comfort zone (and into the heat) for the Renton Chamber of Commerce / Kent Chamber of Commerce / Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce rooftop mixer.

As an introvert, networking events can be… a lot. But this one? Worth it. I connected with some incredible, business-minded folks—some brand new, and others I hadn’t seen in nearly a decade. Real conversations, genuine laughs, and the kind of energy that reminds you why showing up matters.

Grateful for moments like these—and for people like Jess (Vibrant Marketing & Design) and Savannah (Scribbles Hub) who make it feel a little less intimidating and a lot more fun.

Here’s to community, connection, and a whole lot of sweat equity (literally).

Just because you have a website doesn’t mean it’s doing its job.

Kavanah Construction LLC came to me with a solid start.

They had chosen a Squarespace template and filled in the basics. Which, to be clear, is totally fine when you’re just getting going and need something fast.

But when you’re ready to look more polished, more professional, more intentional, it helps to have support.

Here’s what we did:

✨ Refreshed the site content based on that new foundation.
✨ Ran a full SEO audit and cleaned things up under the hood.
✨ Elevated the site with fresh, professional imagery from the talented Kristina Pearl Photography.
✨ Added a clear portfolio section to show their work, not just talk about it.

The result?

A site that feels like them. Grounded. Trustworthy. Put-together.
