The 10th Annual Ithaca Short Film Festival is now open for submissions!

This film festival is for filmmakers both in the United States and Internationally. We provide an opportunity for filmmakers, including college students, to showcase their work to a public audience and our panel of judges. Our panel will be awarding films in a variety of different categories.

The submission deadline is February 12th, 2026. Entry fees are $15 for general entrants and $10 for Ithaca College students. If you’re an IC student looking to enter, DM us on Instagram at or email [email protected] to receive a promo code to get a discount on your submission.

At Park Productions, we prioritize team training and creating meaningful pathways for students to become leaders.

Lily Slagel is a sophomore Film major. Last year, during Lily's first month at IC, she had the opportunity to shadow our crew on a shoot for Cornell Botanic Gardens. Fast forward to just a few weeks ago, Lily was on set again, but this time as a mentor, with a trainee shadowing her.

Seeing our members have full-circle moments like this is what makes our organization special. We love to see all of our members learn, grow, and succeed every day.

As part of the Park Distinguished Visitor Series, actor, writer, and director Jesse Eisenberg visited Ithaca College to connect and engage with students, faculty, and staff.

Park Productions was honored to contribute to this unforgettable event. When we learned that Jesse Eisenberg did not have his own sizzle reel, two of our staff editors - Leah Waessa and Jonah Brainard - created one to showcase his work and introduce him for his Talk in Ford Hall.

Some of our staff photographers - Eli Brown, Tessa Dill, Alec Schlesinger, Leila Marcillo-Gomez, and Director Devan Accardo - also captured his Park School welcome tour, VIP Reception, and Talk in Ford Hall.

As the Spring ‘25 semester came to a close, we held a Park Productions lunch to take a moment to reflect on our recent accomplishments!

Our Team Manager, Jacob Makofske, has created a beautiful newsletter to share with you our exciting highlights of this semester! It will be linked in our bio for you to take a look! We’ve had so many amazing opportunities this spring, establishing our new online identity, relaunching our website, and continuing to grow our professional skills. To our graduating seniors of Park Productions, we will miss you dearly, value your commitment to our organization, treasure your legacy, and wish you the best of luck in this new chapter of your lives. Thank you to: Ethan Beaulac, Thad Robertson, Jaqueline Pereira, Henry Suzuki, Jacob Makofse, Quin Frederich, Braden Becker, George Pavlidis, Stephanie Tokasz, Ryan Carty, Gabriel Friedberg, Oliver Youngblood, and Brody Smith. To all of our members who attended our workshops, shadowed on sets, and some who will be joining our staff next semester, we appreciate all you’ve done for us. We were thrilled to showcase incredible stories from the Park School and from filmmakers all around the globe. Special thanks to Italian filmmaker Gianni Petrizzo for joining us all the way from Italy! And of course, huge thank you to ISFF Director Stephanie Tokasz for making it all happen!

On March 18th, we had the great honor of hosting the grand opening of our new studio!! 🎞

This studio move was a huge undertaking, and we are so grateful to everyone on our team who worked tirelessly on moving, cleaning, painting, and planning to get us to this point, especially our Studio Manager Kayla Tidy!

Last night, we hosted our Spring ‘25 All-Member Meeting, and it was a pleasure getting to share all of our excitement for the semester ahead!

From the near opening of our new studio space, information on drone certification testing, shadowing chances for members to get more involved, to new workshops and marketing opportunities: there’s a lot to look forward to! Thank you to everyone who showed up and made this event special.

2024 was an exciting and transformative year for Park Productions, and we’re taking a moment to reflect on everything we’ve accomplished!

One of the biggest milestones this year was welcoming our new Director, Devan Accardo. As Director of Park Productions, Devan has played a key role in mentoring students in their creative and professional growth. Under her leadership, we successfully reorganized into three specialized units: The Professional Production Unit, The Studio, and The Drone Squad. We also restructured our leadership and expanded opportunities for students to get involved, whether through leadership roles, production staff positions, or in our member base.

Throughout the year, the Professional Production Unit stayed busy with exciting projects, including a video with IC President, La Jerne Terry Cornish, a production for Cornell Botanic Gardens, the completion of our short horror film "The Graveyard Shift", and a shoot in the heart of Manhattan.

At The Studio, we’ve been hard at work relocating from our downtown space to a brand-new studio at the South Hill Business Campus, making it more accessible for IC students. We can’t wait to share more details when it officially opens soon!

Meanwhile, the Drone Squad has been soaring to new heights, expanding its membership, taking on exciting new projects, and setting ambitious goals for 2025.

Beyond production, we’ve also restructured our staff roles to support our rapid growth, introducing new executive positions to foster student leadership and development.

Our recruitment night in September attracted over 60 new members, many of whom participated in workshops led by our leadership staff throughout the semester to help members refine their skills and prepare them for jobs with our Pro Unit. Their enthusiasm and talent have been incredible, and we’re excited to see them grow within Park Productions!

Heading into 2025, we are beyond excited for new projects, new team members, new studio space, new gear, new events, and new opportunities to engage and create.
