Black Rob (born Robert Ross; 8 June 1968–17 April 2021) was a prominent American rapper from East Harlem, best known for his time as a signature artist on Bad Boy Entertainment. He is most famous for his 2000 smash hit single “Whoa"
He passed away on April 17, 2021, at the age of 52 due to cardiac arrest. His death occurred shortly after that of fellow rapper DMX, and his final days—marked by health struggles and homelessness—drew significant concern and support from the hip-hop community.
