I love the fact that I work for myself, create my own schedule and can MAKE TIME FOR WHAT MATTERS MOST TO ME. The ability to disconnect from what doesn’t serve me or add benefit to my life is a blessing. Being a creative doesn’t just mean pushing yourself to the brink of exhaustion or allowing others to dictate your worth. It also consist of taking time to reflect and allow inspiration to flow. My process in doing so is me cultivating and growing herbs, vegetables and plants that I use to cook for my family. Watching the seed grow into something more than it was and just enjoying the process is something I enjoy. The literally fruit of my labor has purpose, just as the process has purpose. It all works together to calm and center me which allows me to walk in my purpose. Take the time to sit and enjoy those moments, every day doesn’t have to be about the grind, sometimes the grind is the peace you revel in.

The venue was very dimly lit. But preparation is key. I communicate very closely with clients, I will ask a million questions in preparation for your session. Planning and pre-production are two parts of my process I take very seriously.

Happy Juneteenth yall!! Freedom wasn’t the finish line. It was the beginning.

Today I honor the strength, sacrifice, brilliance, and beauty woven into every generation that came before me. Their courage made room for our dreams.

May we never forget where we come from, and may we never be afraid of where we’re going.

I refuse to earn success by destroying myself.

If it costs my peace, my health, my joy, or my sanity, the price is too high.

I’ve learned that not everything requires a fight. Some things require a release.

So I let it go.
And I rest.

The people meant for me, the opportunities meant for me, and the life meant for me will never require me to abandon myself to receive them.
