Progress is being made….
Through the tragedy, we have to look for those “sun rays shining down.”
This is definitely a blessing to see!

That’s flood survivor Farmer Baker placing his hand on a wall of his new home as it’s being built by Maryland DreamBuilders and our carpenters. Farmer’s home was destroyed in the 2022 flood disaster in Lower River Caney. Farmer’s wife, Vanessa, did not survive, and tragically, she is the only one of the 45 flood victims who has never been found. Farmer looks for her every day. When we showed him photos of the sun’s rays shining down on his new home, he said, “That’s her!” 🥹

Y’all, this is why we do what we do. Thank you for helping us help folks like Farmer!

Important tax information….

Thanks Travis Bowling!

Sharing some assistance for those that had out of pocket (or took out construction loans) to repair their homes.

Kentucky sales tax paid on rebuild materials can be reimbursed up to $6000.

There’s a process with receipts and paperwork. Deadline to submit is 3 years from date of disaster.

This sales tax reimbursement is totally separate from annual income taxes.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Updated June 10, 2021)— Property owners in certain Kentucky counties devastated by recent floods may qualify for a sales tax refund on building materials purchased to repair or replace flood-damaged structures.
