🎬 Last summer, a group of students spent a week learning filmmaking, acting, storytelling, and production—and by the end of the week, they had created their own short film.

This July, we’re excited to bring back our Summer Break Film Acting & Production Camp for a second year!

Throughout the week, students ages 13–18 will get hands-on experience with acting, screenwriting, directing, camera operation, and filmmaking while working alongside local filmmakers and creatives.

Whether your teen dreams of being in front of the camera, behind the camera, or is simply looking for a creative outlet, this camp is designed to help them learn by doing.

WRAPPED. 🎬❤️

After 14 days of production, Thirteen Weeks has officially wrapped principal photography.

We’re still processing everything this experience has been — exhausting, surreal, emotional, chaotic, beautiful — and somehow we made a movie 😭

Thank you to every single person who gave their time, talent, energy, support, locations, equipment, encouragement, meals, rides, reposts, donations, and love to this project. This film exists because of you.

Now… onto post-production ✨

Not to get emotional on main but we really love what we’re building over here. Our independent filmmaker hearts are bursting 🥹🎬

Good thing we have two travel nurses, an intensivist, and a pharmacist nearby… they save lives for a living! their personal lives? maybe significantly less stable 👀

A little behind-the-scenes from Thirteen Weeks so far. 🎬

We’re currently on a short production break before heading back to set next week for our final stretch of filming, and we’re so grateful for this cast, crew, and everyone helping bring this story to life here in West Tennessee.

This is our first feature film under The Reel Collective, and it means so much to be building it with our community behind us.

Our Seed&Spark campaign is currently 21% funded with $5,400 raised from 53 supporters, and we have 16 days leftto keep pushing toward our $25,000 production goal.

🎬 CASTING CALL — Thirteen Weeks

We’re excited to officially begin casting for our first feature film, Thirteen Weeks, written by Austin Camp and directed by Rachael Camp.

The film follows two traveling nurse sisters navigating love, career, and the question of whether to keep moving… or finally build a life somewhere. Set in a fast-paced ICU, it blends romance, tension, and humor with grounded, character-driven moments.

We’re still reeling from the premiere of Hidden Leaders. 🎬

A week and a half later and we’re still so grateful for the room full of people who came out to celebrate the release of Our Jackson Home’s Winter Journal and the stories that inspired this film.

It was an honor to partner with Our Jackson Home to create Hidden Leaders, highlighting some of the incredible community leaders featured in this year’s journal. Getting the chance to help tell these stories, and to witness the impact these leaders have on our city every day, was something truly special.

We’re continually amazed by the people who pour into this community, and we’re grateful to everyone who contributed to the journal, participated in the film, and showed up to support the journal & the premiere.
