CALLING FOR GUESTS — Momba Raw and Unfiltered LIVE

Something came to me out of the blue, and I’m moving on it.

I’m putting together my first live panel conversation, and I’m looking for a few voices who are on level, can engage authentically and organically, and know how to have a damn good time connecting and vibing with your people while still being able to go somewhere deeper. Especially without all the extra cheese and pepperoni attitude.

The conversation will begin around AI music, AI artists, generative AI, AI art, virtual DJs and the changing relationship between technology and creativity.

But if you know how my mind works, you already know we’re not staying there.

AI → creativity → access → authenticity → technology → surveillance → digital isolation → connection → tribalism → art → misogyny → Black creativity → our young people → policing → the prison-industrial complex → community → what has to change for us?

That’s the territory.

I’m looking for people who can bring a valid thought process through a cultural lens into these subjects.

You don't have to love AI or hate AI or have a TED Talk position on everything. But you do need to be able to think, engage, listen, challenge, laugh, communicate and actually talk to other HUEman beings.

This will be an organic and unscripted conversation—not a series of people waiting for their turn to speak.

And yes, I want us to have a good time while we're doing it.

Guests will be chosen by alignment.

So make sure your frequency harmonizes.

Took an intentional break from social media. Deactivated my pages and deleted the apps from my devices for two weeks.

During that time, outside of writing private reflections, I didn’t do anything creatively. I have so much I need and want to do and I know there isn’t enough time left for me to get it all done.

It hurts.

Not being in a space to create really took toll on me spiritually. I felt completely adrift with no anchor. Like I could just float on directionless until I sank.

And I felt so empty.

One thing this recent fast solidified is that my creativity is intricately tied to my purpose. And when I am not creating, I am postponing my purpose. My mission.

Today, one listener in a country far far away decided to download every single one of my episodes. I hardly ever promote this podcast and only do so when I’m sharing a new episode. To come back from a machine break and see that even when I walk away, my presence remains active, was eye opening in a way I thought I already had perspective on.

But apparently, the Universe thought otherwise.

Message received loud and clear.

Whoever found my voice in the digital dark today and pressed download 26 times…thank you for helping me get the message.

And thank you for listening to me🖤

Tonight, the pod has crossed over 2,500 downloads from my host site alone.

Three years.

Fifty countries.

Close to 500 cities have jumped down rabbit holes with me.

I remember starting this journey while people close to me had their own opinions about what this would or would not become. Some said my voice might be a little too much for the microphone. Maybe people would only listen for that reason alone.

And yet here we are.

Somehow, I have ended up in cars, living rooms, bedrooms, showers, kitchens, long drives, quiet nights, work breaks, and who knows, maybe even a few bathroom stalls, because let’s be honest, life be lifing everywhere.

But wherever you listened from, you invited me into your time. Into your energy. Into your inner ear. Into the back rooms of your mind. You let me take a seat there, and you trusted me not to touch what wasn’t mine, not to move things around carelessly, and not to leave your spirit worse than I found it.

That is no small thing.

I am honored. I am grateful. I am blessed by every download, every listen, every share, every quiet lurker, every deep thinker, every rabbit-hole walker, and every soul who has ever pressed play and stayed with me.

I found an accidental recording from three years ago.

At first, I thought it was just another forgotten file buried on an old hard drive.

It wasn’t.

It was a timestamp.

A conversation between me and my daughters frozen in digital amber.

Listening to it forced me to confront something I wasn’t prepared for.

Not who my children used to be.

Who I used to be.

The deeper I sat with it, the more I realized this wasn’t really a story about motherhood.

It was a story about memory.
