Wellston ends season with a 4-1 loss to Wheelersburg in District Semi-final contest at VA Stadium in Chillicothe.

The Wellston Rockets ended the 2024-25 season with a 5-2 Wednesday afternoon loss to the Wheelersburg Pirates. Wellston had six hits, led by Karter Witt with two, while Braxton Ingalls had the only extra-base hit with a triple. Ean Conn was the winning pitcher while Witt took the loss. Wellston ends the season with a 14-10 mark, and it was the last game for the seniors .Levi Bellard, Hunter Collins, Mason Collins, Kale Faught, Brenton Moon, Logan Wyatt, Karter Witt. ATHENS — Jackson ace Gaven Jones delivered a masterclass on a rain-soaked field at Ohio University’s Wren Stadium on Tuesday. He pitched a complete-game three-hitter, threw 110 pitches, and recorded seven strikeouts in the Ironmen’s 11-2 win over Chillicothe in a Division II District semifinal baseball game.
