In honor of World Beard Day, The Cash-Book Journal is proud to announce it will be the sponsor of the Longest Beard Competition at the City of Jackson’s community-wide celebration marking America’s 250th birthday in July 2026.

The 250th celebration will highlight favorite July 4th traditions in Jackson, while adding new large-scale attractions such as a patriotic parade, movie in the park, expanded entertainment and more!

Jackson football avenges last year’s 44-7 loss to Cardinal Ritter with a 23-20 home win over the Class 5 powerhouse Lions to start the season.

Indians star RB Jaylon Hampton scored a game-high 2 rush TDs on top of 102 rushing yards, while Jackson defenders Cameron Caldwell, Lukas Cox, Tyler Fischer and many more made key plays throughout the night.
