🏆 STATE CHAMPIONS 🏆

Oak Ridge softball beats Kingsville 3-1 for the BlueJays to bring home the school’s FIRST girls state championship and UNDEFEATED season in history!

Kaelyn Deckerd hit a solo homer and nearly had a perfect game on the mound, striking out 14 batters and allowing no earned runs.

Up 1-0 in the 6th inning, Hayley Hahs drove in Kinsley Bogenpohl off a bunt as Sydney Bush scored off a sac fly by Shanon Long for the insurance runs.

STATE TITLE BOUND

The Oak Ridge softball team handles Plato 8-3 for the BlueJays to reach the school’s first state championship in its 152 history!

Kaelyn Deckerd recorded 17 strikeouts and Addie Burnett had a 2-run home run, Kinsley Bogenpohl a 2-run double and Sydney Bush back-to-back RBI hits.

Oak Ridge (26-0) will take on Kingsville (16-4-1) for the Class 1 State Championship tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.!!

Oak Ridge officially held a state send-off for the softball team this morning as the BlueJays are heading to Springfield for the Class 1 Final Four!

It all begins tomorrow afternoon as undefeated Oak Ridge (25-0) will take on Plato (25-7) in the state semifinals at 1 p.m. at the Killian Softball Complex.
