Crews will be flushing and flowing hydrants tomorrow, July 31st, starting at 8 am. Crews will flow at:
Morton, Howard, Neal, North St., Donald
Brandom Kies , Anna, Lyndhurst, Crestwood, Bel-Air, Shawnee Circle, and Parkwood Circle.

While hydrant flowing activities doesn’t affect the safety of the water supply, the water may
appear cloudy or discolored while the lines are flushed due to a temporary stirring of sediments.

Residents can quickly clear up the discolored water in their homes or businesses by flushing
water through the plumbing. Recommended locations for flushing plumbing are outside spigots and bathtubs.

The City of Jackson has over 800 fire hydrants in its service area. These hydrants are flow tested
and maintained to ensure they are in good working order and to determine that each hydrant has sufficient flow for firefighting.

SCAM - Let’s break down this fake DMV text making the rounds.

First off, “PADMV”? That’s not a thing. Pretty sure they meant Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles—except we’re in Missouri, and Pennsylvania has no business with your local traffic tickets.

Next, they cite Missouri Code 15C-16.003. That’s a real regulation, but it has absolutely nothing to do with unpaid traffic tickets. It actually relates to vehicle inspections—specifically, VIN and odometer verification when titling or renewing registration on out-of-state vehicles. Nice try.

And the phone number? It starts with +63, which is a country code from the Philippines. So, unless Missouri outsourced its DMV enforcement overseas (it hasn’t), this message is clearly bogus.

No government agency is texting you from a foreign number demanding payment for a mysterious traffic ticket.

Delete it. Don’t reply. Don’t click anything.

Scammers are trying hard, but this one missed the mark by a mile.
