🫀⚡️Got ACLS or megacode simulation coming up? I promise it’s not as intimidating as it seems. 🤪
🫀To begin ACLS or megacode check off, you will be given a scenario that fits into one of two ACLS algorithms: bradycardia or tachycardia.
🫀For the bradycardias, it’s all about atropine and transcutaneous pacing. High grade heart blocks (second degree AVB Type II & 3rd degree AVB will not respond to atropine).
🫀For the tachycardias, be ready to have the patient bear down 💩 or perform synchronized cardioversion. 50J for SVT, 100J for a-fib.
🛑CAUTION: If there is a possibility that the patient has been in prolonged a-fib WITHOUT anti-coagulation, cardioversion is not recommended.
⚡️Remember least invasive ➡️ most invasive & unstable gets electricity.
