The Worship Ministry of the First Baptist Church ofJackson leads the congregation in worship during the 10:30 a.m. service each Sunday and leads in other worship activities and special events. The Sanctuary Choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 6:00PM - 7:30PM in the Choir Room (located behind the Sanctuary) and sings in both morning worship services and is a part of special worship events. The Worship Orchestra rehearses on Wednesdays from 6:00PM -7:30PM PM in the Sanctuary.

Tomorrow night is our Carols by Candlelight 2025 Reveal Party!

In 1970, Larry Black presented the very first Carols by Candlelight with 64 singers and orchestra. This first program would cast an incredible gospel vision for years to come with choir, orchestra, and cast exceeding over 400 people. Since then, Carols by Candlelight has been one of our greatest tools in communicating the gospel to Jackson, our church, and literally, to our world.

I am so humbled and honored to have the privilege of presenting the 56th year of Carols by Candlelight, alongside each of you.
That said, I am so excited to share with you the music and theme for this year’s presentation of Carols. Choir, orchestra, drama, set design, tech team, backstage, and all those who give of their time to help make Carols happen – tomorrow night is the night!

Join us at 6pm in Fellowship Hall West for a time of fun, food, and fellowship as we reveal Carols by Candlelight 2025! I can’t wait to see you there!
