Job Opening!
Our company is growing and we are looking to add another sales representative to our team at Jackson Publishing Co.!
As an advertising sales representative you will be responsible for soliciting, administering, reporting and consulting on all advertising sales for Jackson Publishing Company magazines including Jackson Magazine and Senior Preferences. You will work to maximize sales for the company and be accountable for helping reach monthly sales goals, as well as serving as the liaison between the advertiser and the ad designer for production and approval of ads. You will be required to travel to appropriate sales calls, client meetings and to represent Jackson Publishing Company at many business functions.
Jackson Magazine is a monthly business-to-business magazine publishing since 1992. This position interfaces with the business community on a consultative sales basis to help businesses reach our audience of executives, managers, and professionals in our area.
Senior Preferences is a yearly resource guide published in six regional editions around the state of Michigan providing comprehensive listings of resources for seniors and adult children. The publication is in its 20th year of publication.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Sales experience preferred
Highly motivated and ability to work independently, as well as a team player
Ability to multi-task and work effectively with rigid deadlines
Experience with consultative sales and contract negotiation
Desire to cold call and drive own account leads
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop relationships with prospects and clients
Ability to research and develop new accounts
This position is based in Jackson, Michigan and candidates out of the area should indicate on applications their ability and timeframe for relocation.
