Homemade Hummingbird Nectar
• 1/4 cup plain white table sugar
• 1 cup boiling water
• Heat-safe cup + spoon
Boil water, pour it over the sugar, stir until completely dissolved. Let it cool to room temp, then fill your feeders. That's it!
⚠️ Important:
Please ONLY use plain white table sugar. No raw, organic, brown sugar, and no honey — they contain iron or can grow dangerous fungus that harms these tiny friends.
And PLEASE DON'T USE RED DYE! The red on your feeder is enough to attract them.
Clean feeders regularly with 1/4 cup bleach to 1 gallon hot water, rinse well, and let dry.
