Growing up I always dreamed of having sons that I could pass the torch to.. raising boys into men is one of the most purposeful things I am blessed to be able to do and I’m so grateful for every phase of this journey. I’m super tough on my boys.. I’m talking TOUGH. I have very high standards for them in nearly all things in life and it’s not because I just want to control them but this world that they’re going to have to navigate.. it’s not suited for aimless men… especially not aimless black men. I pray one day they can look back and say “wow now I see why dad was always raising the bar for us.. now I see why he set a standard for us that was so different than our friends and why things we thought were rules was really freedom disguised as discipline” I love these boys more than life itself. God please continue to guide me and guide them to do your will .. not mine and not theirs but your will Lord. Feeling extremely grateful and humbled to be a father. I’ll do anything for these boys.

Grocery stores are still open! It’s not too late lol

Boil 16 oz Cavatappi/ mac noodles to package directions and set aside

Creamy cheese mixture
12 oz half and half
12 oz heavy cream
12 oz evaporated milk
8 oz Gouda
8 oz mozzarella
8 oz Colby jack
4 oz cream cheese
(Save some cheese for topping it at the end or just shred some more)

Roux
To hot pan add 1 stick of butter
2 tablespoons of garlic
3 tablespoons of flour
Mix until well incorporated and then add to the creamy cheese mixture.

Seasoning
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground mustard

Combine pasta with seasoned cheese mixture, place in a baking dish, top with cheese of your choice and bake at 350 for about 15-20 min. Keep an eye on the top coating of cheese because some people like that coating more done than others.

This is more than football.

One of our own… Christian Lewis.. took a hard hit during our last game suffering a concussion. Since then, he’s been in the hospital for four days, fighting through memory loss and confusion. His parents, Kimble and Lillian, haven’t left his side.

If we want to follow Jesus… it’s not about adding Him to our life.. it’s about laying our life down for Him
