This conceptual design project reimagines the $20 bill to honor Harriet Tubman, not just with her portrait but through design choices that tell her story: Underground Railroad maps, a North Star chart, and Braille for accessibility.
I was initially hesitant about completing this in Photoshop, thinking it might limit my creativity. Instead, it turned out to be an incredibly seamless process that let me focus on storytelling and precision. This project blends historical symbolism with modern design and pushes for inclusivity and representation in currency design.

I didn’t go to school for design right away. I’ve bounced around between jobs in mental health, safety, admin work and while I’ve picked up a lot, long-term roles haven’t stuck the way I hoped.

So, I started creating my own lane.

This is a spa website I designed called Sapphira; soft, simple, and easy to move through (because let’s be real, booking self-care shouldn’t be stressful).

I’m still learning and evolving with every project, but it feels good to see ideas come to life like this.

Just finished a special mock design project close to home 💛
I redesigned the logo for my hometown, Enterprise, AL, ( https://www.enterpriseal.gov/ ) aka the City of Progress.

The original crest with the Boll Weevil Monument has always been a symbol of resilience, but I wanted to bring a more modern, community-focused feel to the city’s identity. The new logo combines a gear for progress and industry with a plant form to reflect Enterprise’s agricultural roots (yes, peanuts!).

Been diving into the work of Emory Douglas lately. His visuals for the Black Panther Party were powerful, political, and rooted in the people. I came across this interview and left feeling realigned.

One thing that stuck with me: it's okay to draw inspiration from other artists (he did!), but the key is making it yours. That reminder motivated me. Whether I’m designing or painting, I want to keep pushing toward work that reflects my voice and experience. I also love that his art was motivated by the people. He can a voice to so many who could not speak.

✨ This weekend, I had the opportunity to participate in the 48in48 Social Justice Event, and it was an amazing experience! I teamed up with a group of talented volunteers, led by the incredible Cammy Perez, to build a brand-new website for Honey B Housing, a nonprofit committed to supporting independent living for disabled adults.

Project Update: Sapphira Spa (In Progress) ✨

I’ve been working on a full brand and web design concept for a luxury spa experience — combining everything from color palettes, mood boards, logo design, and typography, all the way to a fully responsive website build using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.

This project has allowed me to push my creativity while sharpening my front-end development skills and visual design process. Still more to come as I continue expanding the site with additional pages and features!
