It’s becoming way too normal to try to dim someone else’s light… just to feel brighter.

Here is the reality:

1. Two things can absolutely be true without cancelling each other out.

2. Different experience doesn’t mean invalid experience. It just means different. And that is good.

3. A snapshot does not tell the full story when it comes to people and their life experiences. Shared proximity doesn’t equal shared thinking.

4. It is ok to observe first, then form an opinion. Critical thinking is a skill. And, it is hard to do when one is on the defense.

5. Ask questions. Curiosity will take you further than critique ever will. It is an under-rated superpower. Ask: “Help me to understand…”

And here’s my favorite reminder:
The moon doesn’t compete with the sun. It reflects it. Different roles. Same purpose. 🌙☀️

The objective is the same.

So if you’ve ever been told your light is “too much,” translated as:

👉🏽 “She’s too confident.”
👉🏽 “She doesn’t know everything.”
👉🏽 “My experience is better.”
👉🏽 “She’s not qualified.”

Families reach out to assisted living providers because something broke in their world.🥺

A fall.
A diagnosis.
A moment that made them realize they need more help.🙏🏽

And when they call you, they’re not shopping, or house hunting.🏡

They're hoping someone will understand the load of caregiving and weight of decisions that they are carrying.♥️

That’s why this episode matters.

The number of homelessness among aging adults is increasing….

The rising cost of maintaining a home with property taxes and homeowners insurance is one of the reasons.

**END PROPERTY TAXES AT 65.**

After decades of work,
raising families,
paying taxes,

Seniors shouldn’t be taxed out of the homes
they already paid for.

This isn’t a handout.
It’s respect.

What was supposed to be a one day freshen up, turned into a 5 day overhaul 🤦🏽‍♀️

But who will recieve the benefit of this? YOU!!!

Why? Because, the information you requested will continue to flow regularly and…

Instead of you trying to “catch” my social posts,

Families don’t move forward because they get more information…

they move forward when they get guidance on what to do with it.

Most of them already have brochures…
They’ve Googled everything.
They’ve talked to five different people
who all told them something different.

They’re not uninformed.
They’re overwhelmed.

And here’s the part no one says out loud:
When families feel overwhelmed,
they don’t move forward.

They freeze.

So how do many owners respond?
More features.
More paperwork.
More details.
More explanations.

Which creates…
More overwhelm.

You don’t earn trust by giving families more information.
You earn trust by giving them a clear path.

Show them what matters most.
Show them what to focus on.
Show them what comes next.

Information doesn’t build trust.
Guidance does.
