St. George, Utah – one of the country’s top desert towns is reshaping the American West with art, entertainment and great outdoor adventures. The big draw is Zion National Park, just an hour’s drive away. Check out the “Getting Away Together” episode on Amazon Prime or www.GettingAwayTogether.com

PineRidge’s Top 7 Things to do around St. George, Utah
1 Rent an ATV and speed across moon-like sand dunes at Sand Hollow State Park, just outside
St. George. Or, if you prefer water adventures, dive into Sand Hollow Reservoir for some high-speed H2O fun. (The folks at Southern Utah Adventure Center and The Beach @ Sand Hollow Watercraft & ATV rentals will hook you up.)

2 Buy a ticket to Tuacahn Amphitheatre – it takes “going to the theatre” to a whole new level sitting under the stars and surrounded by a massive red rock canyon. (Take the behind-the-scenes tour and see how they create their Broadway in the Desert magic.)

3 Cozy up at the adobe-style Inn at Entrada – a breathtaking desert oasis, with a challenging golf course. Views out your casita windows are of nearby red-rock cliffs.

4 Coyote Gulch Art Village at Kayenta is an enclave of art galleries, studios, cafes, fine art stores, specialty gift and coffee shops. Check out the local artists and take a class.

5 Art in the desert! Search out world-renown sculptor, Edward Hlvaka’s “The Mustangs”; a life-sized bronze sculpture of 5 wild mustang horses in the sandstone setting of a traffic roundabout. Really! (It’s on Snow Canyon Parkway just outside St. George, about 1.5 miles south of the entrance to Snow Canyon State Park).

6 Stroll around historic downtown St. George – it’s definitely walkable! (Best time to visit is Spring & Fall for cooler desert temperatures).

7 Finally, ZION NATIONAL PARK! It’s awe-inspiring and filled with plenty of selfie backdrops but watch where you stand! (If you walk The Narrows, stop by Zion Outfitter first to rent your canyoneering boots and hiking pole – a must!)
