I’ve heard this too many times, “my budget if $300-500!”

Why is a professional entertainment company so expensive?

A real professional doesnt just show up and press a button.
Let me break this down for you:

$500 a month in advertising just to get your inquiry
$1500 a year for a decent CRM to capture your data and payments
$1000 a year to insure you, your guests, your venue
30-40k in equipment to provide the best sound quality and effects possible

This is before the event is event booked. Now let’s look at the hourly breakdown.

15 hours consulting, planning and curating your event
1 hour equipment prep and load
1 hour travel
2 hour setup
5 hour performance
1 hour breakdown and load
1 hour travel back
30 minute unload

26 hours of labor for a 5 hour event.

Let’s assume your quote was 1500.00
Minus $285 in taxes
That’s $1215 in revenue
Minus overhead, equipment, bank fees…etc

I think you’re getting the picture now.

A quote of $1500 is typically less than 7% of what was spent on the venue, drinks and catering yet WE run the entire event from start to finish.

Buyer beware of the $300 event DJ. Corners were cut and I hope it doesn’t implode at your event.
