I enjoyed my first month living at 1560 West 1st Street in Jacksonville, Florida! Though it's not been exactly a month yet, I have been obsessed with my new home's best feature — WINDOWS. This house has 30 windows and the mean purpose of windows is to let natural light from the sky and sun (I call them "windowlight") and occasionally air come inside. My other three posts you may've seen I did take pics of all the windows in the house, except for my bedroom's (Bedroom 1) two interior windows because they let light through the porch and unlike my bedroom's exterior windows that absorbs more natural daylight than the interior windows, they absorb little daylight unless I turn on the porch light or open the blinds to the five windows that faces the north, which in the Northern Hemisphere, don't receive much of any direct sunlight as the south, east, and west facing windows do.
How many windows each room have?
Front Porch - 8 (if you consider the 2 interior windows to my bedroom [Bedroom 1] counting as porch windows, which are not, make that 10)
Living Room - 4
Bedroom 1 (my room) - 4 (if you consider the 2 interior windows to the porch not counting as my bedroom windows [but they really are], make that 2)
Dining Room - 2
Bedroom 2 (my mother's room) - 2
Bathroom - 1 (typical of all home bathrooms)
Bedroom 3 (my sister's room) - 3
Kitchen - 1
Back Porch/Laundry Room - 5
Total - 30
How many windows facing north, south, east, or west?
North facing - 9 - don't receive direct sunlight
South facing - 5 - always receive direct sunlight
East facing - 8 - receive morning sunlight
West facing - 8 - receive afternoon sunlight
Finally moved out of that old house at 1444 Kings Road. Not too far away. The new house is across the street from the previous house I used to live in as a teenager, 1551 West 1st Street, and is on the corner of 1st and Tyler Street.
