Gov. Ron DeSantis announced today the appointment of Andrew Hudson, Michael Mayo, and Daniel Skinner and the reappointment of Christopher Lazzara and Allison Korman Shelton to the University of North Florida Board of Trustees, according to a press release issued by DeSantis’ office.⁠

The Board of Trustees is responsible for establishing cost-effective policies, overseeing performance evaluations and ensuring the university maintains high-quality academic programs that align with its mission and comply with state budgeting, education and policy standards, according to UNF’s website.⁠

This 2026-27 FAFSA form includes updates to adjusted gross income and SAI (Student Aid Index) calculator, affecting Pell Grant eligibility and potentially lowering aid for families. The OBBBA also includes various changes determining who remains eligible for Federal Pell Grants.⁠
