The University of North Florida Athletics recently announced two head coach contract extensions and schedule releases for multiple sports.⁠

UNF Athletics has extended the contracts of head softball coach Jeff Conrad and beach volleyball coach Doug Wright following historic seasons for both programs. The department also released the 2025-26 schedules for men’s and women’s soccer.⁠

The University of North Florida’s agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been approved and finalized, according to ICE records, officially allowing UPD officers to be trained for immigration enforcement.

On Monday afternoon, Spinnaker was made aware of the finalized agreement and requested a statement from a UNF spokesperson at 3:25 p.m. that same day. At 5:21 p.m., UNF President Moez Limayem sent a university-wide email notifying the campus of the finalized agreement—seven days after the agreement was finalized. At the time of publication, Spinnaker has yet to receive a response from the UNF spokesperson.

University of North Florida and UNF Athletics didn’t waste any time deciding on whether to opt into the House versus NCAA Settlement.⁠

In fact, on the same day schools were able to join the 2.8 billion dollar settlement, UNF made its decision promptly and efficiently. On July 1, UNF Athletics opted into the settlement, and joined 320 schools agreeing to revenue sharing, scholarships and roster changes, NIL oversight, and financial retributions.⁠
